What is the difference between Audible Standard and Premium?

Audible Standard lets members select one audiobook each month to play while they remain members. Audible Premium includes one or two credits each month, depending on the plan, and a title redeemed with a credit is a purchase that remains available after cancellation. Do Audible Standard selections stay in your Library after cancellation?

Is Audible Premium the same as Premium Plus?

Match the plan to your next listen.

Pick Standard when access is enough. It fits a listener who wants one current selection for the month and does not need to retain that selection after ending the membership. Audible also lists unlimited podcasts with Standard.
Pick Premium when a specific title matters. A credit can redeem a title from Audible’s full collection, including a new release that is not in the Plus Catalog. Audible says a credit purchase remains yours after cancellation.
Do not confuse the Plus Catalog with a purchase. Premium includes the Plus Catalog, but those included titles remain playable only while the membership is active and while the title stays in the catalog. Look for Audible’s “Included until” notice when a title is due to leave.
Check the checkout page before deciding on price. Audible says App Store and Google Play billing can differ from its listed pricing, and limited-time offers can change. Treat the price shown to your account as the current one.

After cancellation

The Library can contain both kinds of access.

A Library is not a record of ownership by itself. After cancellation, Audible says Standard selections and Plus Catalog titles can display as locked, while titles purchased with a credit or cash remain available. If you are considering a switch or cancellation, separate the title you bought from titles merely included with a plan before you act.

Does Standard include the Audible Plus Catalog?

No. Audible describes the Plus Catalog as a benefit of Audible Plus and Audible Premium memberships. Standard has a different monthly-selection model.

Can I keep a book redeemed with a Premium credit?

Yes. Audible says titles bought with credits are yours to keep, including if you later cancel the membership. That is different from a Standard selection or an included Plus Catalog title.

Can I choose a plan later?

Audible says website-billed members can switch plans from the Audible site. App Store and Google Play subscriptions follow different steps, so check the billing method shown in your account.
